Memorable Automobiles from The Past:
For today:
The joys of an RV are sorta crushed when the water pours in
around a roof A/C, messes up the floor and stains the ceiling. Then tells you in no uncertain terms, there
is work to do. The last time this
happened, a couple years ago, I said aloud and meant it. I usually replace that
gasket, but this time I am calling a repairman. We did call. They were ‘johnny
on the spot’ and got-er-dun. Now that
gasket has failed. Soooo this time Imma going to do it myownself, and the
weather is okay for it. So Today I
tackled it.
I will lay off the AT stuff, I know I have said it all
before. I will get back to it when I
take my overnite shot sometime this summer. I want to make sure I have my ducks
in a row with equipment and check to see if I can blog via cell or kindle.
Do repetitious meals bother you?
We ate so many Ramein noodles on the trail Sherry don’t even want to
look at them anymore. Where I still like the suckers, I guess that is
good. LOL
With the work up topside done, I am a little beat. It only took
about 3.5 hours and Sherry only had to
climb the ladder twice. I seldom have a real down day; yesterday wasn’t
a ‘bad’ day. I did stew beef, carrots and green beans for dinner. Sherry added
yeast rolls. It was all good, but I was still sorta in a funk.
It did carry over to today a little. I think I am climbing
out LOL
So I appreciate you stopping by, LIFE IS GOOD but I’m outta
here. See ya tomorrow.

We all get in that funk sometimes. I Hope tomorrow is a better day for ya.
Your menu sounds delicious!

I agree with Lisa - we ALL get in a funk - sometimes a short one and sometimes a longer one. Tie a knot and hang on.
Everyone gets days like that. Sometimes it's a few hours sometimes it's an entire day, sometimes it's two whole days. It's part of being a human being I suppose. It doesn't help that it seems at times as if the whole world is going crazy. LOL Hope you're feeling better. Hang in there.
Good for you, Jack, for getting that repair done and no one got hurt in the process :) I think we all have our funk or down days. Best thing I do is try to remember how blessed I am and how much Jesus loves me and try to refocus my thoughts somewhere else. When son was growing up, he got into a hot dog spell where breakfast, lunch, dinner all he wanted was hot dogs. So for several months that's all he ate. Then he went to mac and cheese LOL. Surprisingly he likes both to this day! When we were really watching our weight we ate a lot of TV dinners. After about 2 years of that I said time for us to find low calorie meals we can make as we both were a bit burned out with the frozen meals by then. Your dinner sounded so good!
betty
Praying for yours and Sherry's good health. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.
God bless.
I hate the 'funky' days. They seem to really throw me off so I usually sleep. I think those days are telling me to slow down, take more breaks. I'm glad you got the coach fixed. There's nothing like leaks making more work. Enjoy today and relax or sleep in. Bill has been fixing a carburetor for his chipper/shredder. I think he's almost got it.
loven'hugs from in our chilly north where we hope to see lasting sunshine...oh, we had a ' huge ' black bear at the cabin...HUGE
Glad it happened when you were there to take care of it and not out on the trail somewhere. Your RV is getting older and things keep wearing out even though you keep it well maintained, things just get old. Glad you could get the job done. You are such a handy man to have around.
WoW, 3 1/2 hours working on the RV AC, I couldn't have done it, These lungs are OK but I find I need more rest breaks more often ! That word "Funk" is one I have not heard in a while, I have been "Funky" a few times !!!! We got some much needed Rain, still not enough as we are in a drought ! Glad you have warmed up, I was on a ladder this Morning checking the Attic Crawl Space but not for very long ! Sounds like you got the Leak fixed !!!! You 2 take care, sending down Love from the North !!! Gary an Anna Mae
Ohhhhh no on that gasket! At least you knew what to do and how to do it. One of my church pals reports she went to run errands this morning and when she closed her car door the whole back window broke.... and it's supposed to start storming this afternoon.
Repetitious meals? You're talking to the queen of everyday burgers. (LOL) I enjoy my food so much, I'm sometimes hesitant to disappoint my taste buds.
Hope things are ok now and it's always good to get things fixed yourself. My husband is a handyman too and fixes most things around here but I don't like him climbing ladders. It's so easy to get injured as you get older, so we are getting people in to do some of our bigger jobs around the house now. I always enjoy reading your blog. Take care.
