Memorable car of the day:
This is not our neighbor Todd but comparative. Modifications for 'short people to drive trucks'.
For today:
Until today I did not know that ‘Dwarfism’
was a medical term. I also learned that Midget is considered a nasty word.
To tell the truth I don’t remember a lot about the 7 Dwarfs. It is
probably not politically correct anyway. I have never seen myself as anyone of
these, but I THOUGHT: HEY the descriptive names are all of us, i.e. every human. Most of
us have been all of those names at one time or the other. I honestly had to
look up their names to make sure of them. Dopey,
Sneezy, Sleepy, Bashful, Grumpy, Happy and Doc
Lately I have sure felt like old
Dopey, Sneezy and Grumpy!
The
story popped into my mind thinking of the ‘Nasty Lady who wanted to be the
FAIREST OF THEM ALL!
Many women
in the entertainment world compete to gain attention in how they dress or don’t
dress. I smile at one of those laws I read in NC required all women to be
dressed in a dress of at least 16 yards, if I remember right. Some now attend
gala events in an outfit that has less than a ½ hanky in cloth.
Now granted the camera and most men
will ogle such a woman, but they are definitely not looking at the outfit
design. NOR would MOST married men accompany their wives in such dress. :-O
When I see
the competition between the ladies of our entertainment society, I think they
all want to be, “The fairest of the Land”. After seeing some of the costumes
chosen by some women I wonder if they really think ‘naked’ will make them the
fairest!
Anyway,
I have always liked the 7 Dwarfs and the whole idea of fairy tales.
That aside you must admire the ones
affected by Dwarfism and their ability to work and live in our society. Our
neighbor Todd is about 40” tall and about 30 yrs old. He has the best of
personalities. He drives a BIG truck, I have never seen how the controls are
set up, but he handles it with no problem.

I'm chuckling at remembering the names. The other night on Family Feud one of the contestants hadn't heard of them/didn't know a single one! That's an interesting point you make -- yes, each name might apply to all of us at one time or another.
Love how some people overcome their physical challenges. I'd no idea the term 'midget' was objectionable! When my uncle served as an honorary member/chaplain of Ringling's "Show Folks" club in Sarasota I remember him using the term "Little People."
You are so special ~ special Ed ~ special everything else ~ special Pastor ~ special friend ~ Dad ~ special Marine ~ special artist ~ special friend ~ just ran out of thoughts.....YOU are so special...we love you immensely...Thank you for your kindness and love...Glenda
You are old school Jack. And I guess so am I. All those outfits the ladies wear nowadays are unbelievable, I agree. Being around 5ft. I've always been considered short. It's been challenging for sure. And I give kudos to Little People because they navigate great difficulties every day.
Some of the dancing/singing outfits the ladies wear on TV don't leave much to the imagination. I, however, imagine ... how does the outfit remain in place? Is it Velcro do you think?
God bless.
So Colorful and attractive......

I too rhink I have been one of those at one time. Who hasn't? We all have our difference and because of that we should allow each other to be different. That doesn't make any one better than the other. We ae all in the same boat just trying to live the best we can.
