We have our home back.....

Cars of Art:
2004 Aston Martin chosen as one of the most beautiful cars in the world.

Now for tonight:
Finally nearly four weeks living without our home we get the call. The surging was caused by clogged fuel filters. They were replaced, all is well, the coach is ready.  Four weeks is the longest we have been out of a motor home, van or tent in 22 years.

We parked the coach in California and flew to our last and final 50th state, Hawaii. We were gone a week.  Then two weeks while the coach was worked on a couple years ago.  We missed this sucker.

We left NC around 4AM to get to Atlanta and leave before the traffic got too bad.  However it is always bad in Atlanta, imma thinking.

A few wrinkles in the beginning, and we did not get started back until 11AM.

It felt good to look over at my girl and say, “Honey we are the luckiest people in the world.”

In talking about our good friends here on the internet I did not mention Glenda. Glenda came into our lives when she was about 10 years old when we & her family attended the same church in Missouri. She is the oldest girl in a family of a bunch. She grew up and was one successful person with an international investment group. We stayed in contact loosely until the last 6-10 years. She retired to Okee, in Florida, and for many years assisted her ‘Aunt NEE’.  We got to know ‘Nee’ and caught up with the rest of the family. Glenda e-mails and comments. Love that girl.

I miss old Robert and his wife from Athens, Greece along with Aly (Life with Aly) and Mortonlake (who is  still fighting MS) from the UK. I don’t think I have any international regulars anymore. But it felt good when I did.

Robert teaches the German language in Athens.

I just wanted to say thanks again for just being around bloggersville so we all can talk.

Anyway, we will be transferring from the house to the motor home. We will be hoping not to miss anything, but we probably will.

I am hoping to at least reclaim the big repair bill when we sell the motorhome in 3,5 or 7 years, better not stretch it further. hahahaha

Nite Shipslog

Ma had a graphic today that yanked my chain,  Sherry and I talked about it on the way home:

Don’t let the things that mean most, take the place of  things that mean least.  (or something like that)

Remember the homeless abd missing  from the last terrible hurricane, and you will see how lucky the rest of us are.

Hurrah! I'm so happy for y'all!

Ya, Ma sure has a knack for spotlighting the profound … nice to sit and muse. I've seen where Glenda sometimes leaves comments of Sean of the South. (At least, I THINK that's 'your' Glenda!) FYI, I found a neat article in Alabama Living about Sean and Jamie and shared it on my FB page.

Can't wait to see what direction the coach is headed next!

Did you get hurt with this new tropical storm.

So you got your home back - I am so glad.

Hey the traffic is better on I75 now that the Peach Lane opened about a month ago.

HAVE FUN - when do you leave?

Jack--I am so so glad that you and your sweetie are back on the road again in your motorhome. What a blessing that you were able to get it fixed and can now follow your heart's desire.

How wonderful that you have so many friends all around that follow you and your travels. You are blessed indeed.

I am laughing a bit about Atlanta. I have driven through just about every big city in the US. The two I really hate driving through are Atlanta and Washington, DC. lol That's when I wish I had a car that could sprout wings and fly over the traffic in front of me. lol

Safe travels & praying that all stays well in your "fixed" home on wheels- Hugs- Diana

Fantastic that you have your "true" home back! What a good feeling that must be! I still think it was good to get it repaired, its obviously something you both still enjoy doing, so why not "indulge" and get back to where your heart truly when it comes to living spaces.

Great to hear you have your home back. There truly is no place like home sweet home. I've never driven in Atlanta traffic, but I have been in their airport on a layover to catch a fly to see one of my sons. It's one of the busiest airports I've ever seen. Yes, we do have a lot to be thankful for. That hurricane was devastating for many.

Glad you are getting your "Home" on wheels back, I bet it was hard ! I would not want to go back t a big old Victorian 5 bedroom house. I like our Apartment, I know where my Honey is and do not have to yell to find her ! I bet you are heading out on a "Road Trop" !!!!! Enjoy, Gary & Anna Mae

Yep, life is wonderful when we're where we ' want 'to be. Now you two can stop yelling at one another and the kissin' and a huggin' resumes as normal.
You are a blessed couple for sure. I hear from Sandie all the time of how horrible the Atlanta traffic is. It was nice of her to give you an alternate route that isn't as busy. Have a close weekend in your returned ' wheel-estate.'
love n' hugs from our north where we woke to fields full of hard frost.
Brrrrrrrrr :/

I have been reading your blog for a while now but haven't commented but thought I would today. We are so far away here Downunder, and although we get the news of disasters, we don't get a lot of Good news so it is great to read your blog of normal life on the other side of the world. We are getting lovely Spring weather here and preparing for our very hot, hot summer. Life here is very similar for us with our home on wheels but we don't travel in our summer as it is just too hot and we don't like leaving our garden as it needs watering. Summer is also School Holidays and all the beaches are crowded, so we travel north in Winter when the weather is milder. All the best for your travels in your home on wheels.

On the road again should be your theme song. I would hate to be out of my home for that long. Glad you got your wheels back.
