Ohio Ma and Texas Paula

Cars of Art:
Another 1930's classic....

Now for tonight:
I don’t know how I met MA (Whatsnewatmyhouse).  Most likely it was from one of your blogs. But it has been a great friendship.
Sherry and I have been married a long time. (Comparatively speaking) and I always enjoy learning from folks who have lost their mates. I know for sure that MA and Paula (Paulinescountrytales) lost their mates too young.
Sherry and I KNOW that one day that will be one of us. I like to read how the one left, copes. MA seems to be happy and enjoy her large family. She worked and raised a large family for years after the loss of her hubby. She is to be admired, and we do. Every once in a while she posts family pics, I like that.
MA’s blog is a positive one. We have watched her downsize. See some ‘disappointments’ in buyers and contracts while selling her home. Her move into a smaller home has been a challenge we all could see. Down-sizing definitely it a tough job.

But for one 'never down' (in her blog) she has adjusted to the smaller place.  Her blog still produces POSITIVE, YOU CAN MAKE IT, entries. It is always a smile to read an entry and look for the GEM that is always hidden in the ‘good stuff’.
Paula? What can one say about the Cowgirl? I was drawn to her blog because her love for animals. Her love for Mel, the husband she lost much too young, is undeniable.  Her daughters keep up with her and love her to pieces. Unlike MA, Paula found John. He was a rancher and Paula always wanted to be a cowgirl.
Paula inspired one of my books, “Toby’s Tales.” She is a great poet and allowed me to use her poems in the book. What a privilege that was. We were fortunate to meet her and John in person. The girl drives a pick-up and She is as delightful in person, as with her tales. Driving thru Texas I am drawn to look at gates to ranches and their designs, just because of Paula’s country tales.
Paula is another AWOL blogger, she has had some tough days, but my Sherry keeps me up on her FB entries.
There are people who make lasting impressions. MA and Pauline are two…..

Thank you Jack and Sherry. And thanks to Sandie for telling me about this post. I love all of you.

I'm mostly known as 'MA' said...

Thanks for all the good words in your post about me. What can I say but thank you, Thank you. I learned the hard way that life is too short to be anything but happy and I do try, with the good Lord's help and an aging computer to share some positive thoughts each day. Love you both ! I've not read Paula's blog, but will have to pay her a visit. Thanks again from the beautiful state of OHIO.

A wonderful tribute to two great lady bloggers! I've read Paula off and on, mainly read the comments she leaves on your blog when she leaves them. Ma truly is a gem! I've been reading her since I started blogging back in 2005. She is so very wise and so very positive and grateful! She is leaving a wonderful legacy for her children and grandchildren in those blogs of hers!

It is amazing the spirit that rises in a person when adversity enters their life. Some of us become stronger and some of us find our spirit so beaten down that we are incapacitated on some level.

I have followed MA for a while now and she has such a sweet spirit and I love her outlook on life.

I don't know Paula but will look her up, too.

I hope you and your sweetie have a wonderful, blessed Sunday- xo Diana

How sweet of you to mention these two great ladies. I've been AWOL from blogging quite some time now but had visited Paula's and she would comment on mine. One great Cowgirl and friend of the turtles and cows. I've followed
'MA' through comments she's left here, a lady who thinks very much like me. I'd noticed on my earlier roadtrip through 10 states that no matter where you go, people are genuinely kind and friendly, just like Paula and 'MA'. Life is sweet, isn't it!
love n' hugs from up north where there's quite a chill in the air and the woods smells of fresh fallen rain on the fallen leaves. I'm lovin' it!
Have a wonderful week with your lady, Miss Sherry.

What sweet tributes! I agree, Ma/Pam is such a beacon of light in this crazy, sometimes un-nice world. She makes me want to be a better person. 'Not familiar with Paula … yet. Anyone who's friends with the animals has got to be golden!
