Pages you ain't never read!

Cars of Art:

I have no idea what car this is, but I love it.

Now for tonight:

Facts of life. Good things seem to happen to bad folks sometimes.

Bad things happen to good people sometimes.

The opposite also happens but we don’t notice the obvious as easily.

I am reminded of a short joke. Man goes to heaven. St. Peter is showing him around. Things got real quiet.
“St. Peter, I’m not complaining I am glad to be here. But I just saw the kid that beat me up in HS, and a man that I know was a crook. I see others that I frankly do not know how they got here! And there is an odd silence.”

“Patience my son, it will take them awhile to adjust, they never expected to see you here!”

The only person who knows YOUR life is YOU!  I was telling the OLD PEOPLE at Hardees Monday morning that BIL Dick told me that at their house when ‘Beulah’ came on the radio everyone had to be quiet, it was his dad’s favorite program.
He remembered one scene where Beulah’s boyfriend said, “Baby, I knows you like a book!”

Beulah laughed and retorted, “Honey, I got pages you ain’t never read!”

In fact it is life in the world today. Problem is we do not know what happens in someone else’s life other than the good or bad stuff that is obvious.

I have asked myself a lot of questions in the past few months. This summer has been probably the worst in many years. HOWEVER over the years both of our sons got deep into drugs. I watched Bob, Brandon's dad, face this with a broken heart and deflated life. As I saw this broken man I KNEW it could have easily have been our sons, but by the grace of God they both are now productive citizens and we are proud of them. I think their families are proud of them.

So when I total up the losses in money and lives this summer, I can still say we are blessed, we can handle it, because bad things do happen to good people. And as I have been reminded of here in Bloggerville, trouble does not last forever.
AND, in closing, this is just a guess, but I bet YOU have some pages folks ain't never read!

I got volumes that people haven't read, LOL :) As hard as it is, I do believe God allows the bad things that happen to good people, especially believers, so that they can show others how to live through the bad times by having faith in God and then hopefully others will come to know the saving grace of Jesus. This past year I've known of a Godly young man die before the age of 40 of cancer, leaving behind a wife and 3 young children, another young Godly man die unexpectedly, no children or wife, but a wonderful friend to all, and a 3rd young man diagnosed with cancer, a loving husband and devoted father, his "fate" is still unknown though I don't think it looks really"good." It makes me get down on my knees and be so thankful that God has allowed for whatever reason my son to still be alive and functioning especially though some of the things he's been through. Like Sandie said, God has the final answers and we just have to trust in him.

So true, we never know what another person is going through. There are a lot of unknowns in this world. Yes, this too shall pass...nothing lasts for ever. We can only do the best we can with what we've got and be thankful for it. Hugs and love to you both!

And I also have unread pages. Only God knows how our hearts really deal and feel. I think HE gives us trials so we remember to ' turn to Him.' Life gets messy sometimes, doesn't it.
love n' hugs from up north where we picked bushels of apples today. Apple sauce, pies and Apple Butter are in our future. YUM

I'm so sorry I missed this yesterday. 'Never heard of Beulah before, but that's one of the best lines in the history of Ever! (I think Rick's comment may be second - ha!)
