Memorable Automobiles from The Past:
For today:
In life many people are told, “Your health is at risk, xxx is your
favorite food. You need to never eat that again!”
Now not considering it will kill you to eat or not eat, what food
would be the hardest, or even impossible to give up?
I have thought of that a lot There are a few I would hate to
give up. Apples would be one. I have a
crazy habit, many think. I love plain saltine crackers crumbled into a glass
then covered with cold milk. It would be hard to give those up.
Have you ever been up in
a hot air balloon? I haven’t but I have
always wanted to. At a festival once I had a chance to go up in one, but not to
travel, it would have been a tethered up and down. That did not appeal to me, I
would like to travel a few miles in one.
If you like Hot Air Balloons, and you had a choice of any city
in the world, what city would you like to see from a slow moving Balloon?
ME? I think I would like to fly over Venus but hard to decide, wait, I love Tulips.
Holland Michigan is beautiful, BUT Imma thinking Keukenhof, Holland during
tulip season or festival.

When I was in the Netherlands on an Ed Jones trip we took a tour bus to a huge building with elevated platforms to view gorgeous displays of flowers that were ready to ship all over the world. There was an area dedicated to the brokers selling their goods. Racketing noise, as they watched a monitor recording the sales and prices! That was the highlight of my trip, except an evening on the Zuider Zee, my 50th birthday, memorable! Love their foods, especially the variety of cheese and fish! Those flower fields from the air would be awesome! Great post, Jack....Love and hugs from Chobee
About food and good health ... when you read all the supposedly "good" ingredients on the packet, I think the only way these days to get a good square meal is to eat the packet and throw away its contents.
As for the instructions ... it said on the Quick Cook Rice packet, "Take one sachet and stand in boiling water for 1 minute". I did that and burnt my feet.
God bless.
Those flowers look beautiful even down from the ground. An apple a day keeps the doctor away - sounds like it is true for you!
I've found it almost impossible to give up my donuts. I do love them but I need to cut back on sweet things. I'm on the borderline and need to cut out sweets. I don't want to be diabetic. That view of the tulips is amazing. I've never been in a ballon but love the sights I see from an airplane window.
Your first paragraph reminds me of an observation my mother made shortly after my dad's death: "If Ad had to give up all the foods he loved, he might not want to live." Well, being my father's daughter, I can identify with his philosophy, "Live to eat." Off the top of my head, I can't see myself willing to part with beef or eggs.
Those pictures of the tulip fields are amazing! Just the same, I'd rather stand with my feet firmly planted on mother Earth.
I’m not sure I’d go up in a hot air balloon. Not sure how to trust it. However, I would love to go to a festival.
I think a slow flight in a hot air balloon over Ireland would be pretty.
You and Sherry need to take a romantic balloon ride.
Put that on your bucket list.
