Social calendar when not on the road.

Early interesting Cars:
   1990 Chevy Lumina

For today:
We are home (not on the road) so we have obligations locally. Weddings, anniversary celebrations, repair jobs, shopping and little league games.
I know, you think shopping here is no different than shopping in Arizona, but you would be wrong. In Arizona or New Mexico we can be in and out of a grocery store in 20 minutes or less. In the hometown it can take days (Using some of friend Sean’s hyperbole). The last time we actually met only two people for conversations. Fortunately one was Charlene, someone I remember from the 50s. It was good to catch up on her life.
Great Grand Stella is playing baseball. She is the only girl on the team. She is holding her own, and even shining some. She played 1st base and made some good catches. But the biggie was she hit a homerun. (not an over fence one like the big guys) but a good hit that made it to the outfield and she rounded all bases before the ball got to home.  She got the game ball.  LOL
Sherry has a 63rd HS Reunion this Saturday.
WE have a 63rd Wedding Anniversary Sunday.
Grandson Matthew Dillon and Kierstin are getting married in Asheville the next Sunday.
The worst thing here is Nephew Big Mark’s condition. (Our son is younger and is just Mark). Big Mark has been diagnosed with an aggressive cancer stage 4. Your thoughts and prayers would be appreciated.
Nite Shipslog
PS: The Oxymoron for today:
Why do we sing "Take me out to the ball game" when we are already there?

Wow good for Stella! Sounds like lots of good times being at home base like you and Sherry are. Good that you can be there for family events and cekebrations. Will say a prayer for nephew Mark.

Yeay for Stella! What a mixed bag of emotional days ahead. As I know you will, celebrate the good and pray for the challenged. I'm going to do the same, right now.

Will be praying for big Mark. May then dear Lord rd bless and heal him and give him strength for the journey. I'm going to a soccer game for one of my gerandsons today. If it weren't for my family my social life would amount to very little.
