The girl and a fish

First: There is some improvement with our friend Mary Ann and the report is they are bringing her out of the coma...

Autos of beauty

Back then the attendant washed your windshields, checked your oil and pumped the gas, for 21-26 cents a gallon. And he really smiled if you said 'Fill er up.'

For today, Tuesday:

Every family has that ‘secret’ I have heard, one like the ‘Crazy Aunt’ in the basement. Our family on Sherry’s side has a ‘well known’ secret.' A girl with a terrible disease; one that hit her young.  It put her in a wheelchair. She fought back, but still spent many weeks/months in bed and in the hospital, out of school and under doctor’s care. I built a wheel chair ramp at their home.

She was my best friend Sonny’s granddaughter. He told me that one doctor told them that her brain told her at times she weighed like a ton so it was impossible for her brain to tell her to stand. It was hard for me to understand that this beautiful young lady was sick.

She fought, she learned something. Something that friend Rick from over at life101 would understand, FLY FISHING. I do not understand it but over the last few years this girl has turned into a SUPER fisher-woman. She thrives in the cold trout waters, without walker or wheelchair.

WE are so proud of her the following are taken (w/o permission) from her face book.

I have only caught fish close to this size on a boat at sea. I thought you  would love to see our beauty and some of her fish! There are hundreds of these and many much larger.

(All of these fish were released!)

Her final diagnosis methinks is the Mitochondrial Disease! Who can explain the power of a determined female? We are all so danged proud of Megan along with her dedicated supporting family: Steve and Donna, parents and her sister Jessica who has fought her own Migraine demons.

It's scary, all the things that can attack the human body and mind. Such a pretty girl. I am thrilled she loves fishing. It's a calming sport at times. I used to love to fish. Blessings to all, stay safe, xoxo, Susie

I think that is some good news about Mary Ann - keep praying.
Meagan is beautiful - I think I have heard of that disease, but not too familiar with it. Impressive girl tho.
Life is full of mysteries isn't it?

Super news about Mary Ann!!!
It sounds as if Megan totally defines the term perseverance. Beautiful inside AND out. Tom's grandson -- who has dreams of become a world-class fisherman -- would be beside himself!
