The first shower and stuff

Autos of beauty, the early 80s Chrysler Cordoba

For today, Monday:
The other night I decided to go down stairs and check the shower out, since it hasn’t been used yet.

For many years now Government regulations have required the plumbing industry to install scald-guard controls on all shower faucets.

Of course it is the government deciding that the public is too dumb to mix the cold and hot water, to be nice and warm for a bath. I will admit there is some logic to it idea, but it would be nice if we just taught common sense to our children.

Anyway, I got ready for a shower and the water never got hot, it got only ‘warm’. That was not the time to take the unit apart and make the adjustment. So it is to be later. LOL Back upstairs for a hot bath.

So it will be when we return from the mountains before I make any adjustments. I did finish the electrical on my fun project and it all worked first time around.

We are on the road in a couple hours, looking forward to this trip. We have rain coming, but we will get some walking in, and a lot of reading.

Might squeeze in a few days of a soup diet; I actually enjoy that diet tomato soup.  I fixed a big pot and Sherry took it to her brother. He is eating only tomato soup. The report was “It is delicious!”

Y’all take care and be safe.

Best you tried the shower first rather than someone else. If it's not working right you can fix it. The good thing you do't have to call a plumber. Enjoy your trip and try to rest up some before your next project .

I can see the scald feature if someone was dealing with dementia but otherwise I agree we should be able to figure out our water temps. Enjoy your travels!

I hope you have a great time.
I like tomato soup but it bothers my stomach.
Hey is there anything you can put on a shower to cut the water off or hot water off in 30 minutes - my grandson takes an hour shower and it drives me nuts!!!

Throw in a grilled cheese with that soup and I'm in! Have a wonderful time on your trip! I hope the weather is good. It's pretty wet here in Ohio!

Not long ago we were talking with the washer repairman about government controls on inanimate objects. (You don't want to know what he said, lol!) I suppose these are the offspring of the first fellow to prohibit tearing a label off one's mattress, "Under penalty of law."

I'm more than a little envious of your getaway. I hope y'all enjoy every moment!
