I refuse to talk about politics today. I am boing to talk about my typing. There is an example without any help. I hit the b instead of the g. I am doing that a lot lately. Sometimes tyhis computer corrects automatically for me and that is ice3. (Nice). I add extra letters as in ‘This’ above. I also notice I either do not hit the ‘r’ in your or I don’t hit it hard enough. It comes out like Luke would say as a child, “I want to go to you house!”
So now for the rest of this entry I will try to correct myself. I like what my good friend Glenda said about my mistakes (she knows psychology), she said,
“ Anybody can make corrections, it is the creative thoughts that make a book.”
Now isn’t that sweet? Of course it is sweet, she is one sweet lady from a very loving and sweet family. There were farmers in my family.

I remember going to my Great grandpa’s farm near Tocca, Georgia. By the time I went though, he was not farming, just living in the farm house. He did raise chickens and hogs. So I actually was never on an active working farm until I was transferred to Kirksville AFS, Kirksville, MO. There in the church at Moberly, MO. I met an old farmer named Kenneth Conrad. At the time he must have been nearly thirty six years old. We got along well even thought he was old. I was in my early twenties. Mark was a baby and Jack was two or three yrs old. I always enjoyed the visit to the farm. We were invited to dinner and supper many times. Eileen, the mama, a great lady, was some great cook. She had to do some cooking; they were raising ten children on the forty acres. Kenneth worked a full time job at H.B. Chance, came home and worked til dark. Like many farmers he still had time to help his neighbors.

I have mentioned Kenneth many times in this blog. Just lately it was on his visit to Glenda’s home in Okeechobee, FL. Kenneth is the one that Alzheimer’s is stealing his mind. Eileen sang in church, she had a voice that could have been professional, quality, range and style. I loved to hear her sing. She would sing to 20 or hundreds with the same passion.
Now they are both up in age seriously. Life is no picnic with illnesses, over weight and Alzheimer’s. It is also no fun and very stressful on the family. I think of them and the people they were. I know you have friends and family that stand out in your life. I learned a lot from Kenneth about life and a work ethic.
(You probably think I don’t know another family other than the Conrads)

PS:
ARTISTRY OF INSULTS.
When Insults Had Class (no 4-letter words!!) These glorious insults are from an era when cleverness with words was still valued, before a great portion of the English language got boiled down to 4-letter words, not to mention waving middle fingers.

"I've just learned about his illness. Let's hope it's nothing trivial." - Irvin S. Cobb

"He is not only dull himself, he is the cause of dullness in others." - Samuel Johnson

"He is simply a shiver looking for a spine to run up." - Paul Keating

"He has the attention span of a lightning bolt." - Robert Redford

I find myself doing the same thing with my typing. Sometimes an extra letter and sometimes with one missing. I go back and find some mistakes but others I miss. You have some good memories about Kenneth. It's such a shame he can't remember with you. It's bad when old age comes creeping up on a person. Helen

My typing is horrible. I'm missing letters half the time and then transposing the letters and then use the wrong words - ie. I'm going their instead of there. I hate to think what improvements (not) I will make in 10 years time.
Have a great weekend. I'm sure thrilled it's here.

As you know from reading my Journal and now my blog I can make so many mistakes. The mone that really ticks me off is the A. I nearly always wind up hitting the caps key and not notcing it until I am so far along with it I just leave it. I have noticed that you speak more of growing old than you ever have. Ya know, it happens to us all as we have to face up to the difference in what we can do now even as compared to a year or so ago. I find myself trying to deny that I simply either can not do everything I used to do, or if I do, it is half what I used to do. Lucy

I do the same thing about you and your. I always
leave the r off. I am always saying the old people and then I will remember Shirl you are
one of them. I'm still young at heart. I don't know one thing about farming, but I have had a small garden maybe 9 by 12 can that qualify for farming.

He has the attention span of a lightning bolt. Yes, when I was hiring people I met a lot like that but they all swore they were great multi-tasker too, that is until they got bored with the tasks half way thru.

I would say many things don't have much class any longer.

And for sure, most of us would NEVER make it as a farmer. We don't work that hard, and we don't want to ;-0. ~Mary

ps A while ago Deb had suggested your blog & decided to stop by again to see how you & your wife were doing.

Jack what kind of poem do you need for Toby's Tales? I wrote one about a frog and the Easter Bunny. Then there was the Texas Trio, A snake, a rabbit, and a roadrunner. lol Not much to choose from, huh?

I have the same problem with hitting wrong keys. I go back a poofread fix my mistake and click send, publish, or whatever and to my dismay I still have mistakes. And I use to be good at spelling but that's gone down the drain too.

It is hard to see your loved ones suffer knowing you can't take thier suffering away no matter how hard you try.
