I like Dogs, even Cats now

Autos of beauty

1906 Mason CAR  (Not 'Mason Jar' Rick!)
For today:

Of course I love dogs (sometimes cats!). They love and are pretty constant in their actions and dedication. I am not crazy about the dogs that barks constantly on the other side of the fence. Dogs bark, I don’t mind that. People talk, I enjoy that. BUT when a dog can bark at a frequency of 2-6 times a minute for an hour, it really gets on my nerve. (For fun(?) I just counted 38 times in the last minute next door, LOL) I don’t see how they do it and ALSO do not understand an owner (Nice folk) who don’t ‘NOTICE’ .. Thank goodness, here it is only 3 times a day for 30 mins to an hour.

I know a few people who can talk (for hours), and never give the listener a chance to get a ‘word in edge-ways’ as the saying 'down here goes.' We all have had conversations that last a long time, with give and take; that makes a relationship enjoyable. Camping or hunting I, and friends have talked until wee hours around a fire. Life is pleasant when life and time is shared. I am still smiling at a Plato quote on Ma’s blog:

Wise men speak because they have something to say; Fools because they have to say something.

Do you ever think how a parent must feel when a son or daughter is in the headlines of the local paper for robbery or murder? I have a friend whose son is in prison for life. At times in parenting there are TERRIBLE problems, born silently. No one knows ALL the problems other people have. I am smiling now, but there are times parents CANNOT smile. Those times in OUR lives Sherry and I have talked as we aimlessly walked. Those times it MUST be a conversation, not a ‘word dump.’

I am not sure how my dad or mom would have faced the world if my picture had been in the local newspaper ‘police lineup.’

Now, when dogs bark constantly, or someone will not SHUT_UP; I 'TRY' to put it in perspective i.e. The dogs need training, or that person needs to read a good WESTERN!

LOL This blog lets me do that, UNLOAD.  hahahaha

PS:
Oh, right now our life is great, NOT one major problem! Life is good.
PS2: Dogs.. One of our Granddogs is lost in NC, She is OLD, and Sherece is worried.
CATS? I am thinking of Stormy Daniels, I am sure she has found a real warm place to curl up with Zorro. Yeah, I sorta miss them.

Glad you liked the quote and it made you smile. Sometimes we do wish people would just shut up as well as those baking dogs they can be irriatation. There are so many good words in the world and I figure why not use them. I've always been thankful that none of my children ended up in jail. I do feel for this who have had children in the news. There is always pictures in the news and those are someone's child. I do like dogs and cats too and have had a few in the past that were noisy. But then they were good companions and I didn't mind. I bet you are missing your Stormy.

I always wonder if a dog is barking for a long time what is going on. Are they lonely, bored, cold, hot, hungry, thirsty and so on? Its like a baby crying; I'm trying to figure out how to solve the problem for them to stop crying or stop barking. I do feel for the parents who have their children's names/pictures in the news, on headlines, etc. I often pray for the parents after mass shootings. They probably did nothing wrong in raising the child, but I bet they second guess themselves a lot with what they did to make their child do what they did.

I remember when Tom and I were first dating, my g'friend referred to him as "Mister Monologue." LOL, she wasn't far off-target. Like mother before me, whenever I hear of a young man/woman 'gone wrong' my heart goes out to their mother and father. Dogs barking? No doubt it's annoying, but like Betty said, I wonder if something isn't wrong.

I don't like dogs that bark - drive me nuts - and guess who barks? Disco. Can't get him quiet sometimes.
If my kid did something like that I would be so incredibly sad - and pray.

Well-spoken friend, I agree with your comments, my rescue pup barked until I let him out of his kennel and he's now chewing my bed pillows ~ sometimes I want to drown his a**, most other times I hug him. I wish you and Sherry all good things in the next couple of decades and hope to see you sometime soon. So sorry that Sherice is missing her dog and pray she'll find him soon ~ Love and Hugs from Chobee, Glenda
